Gmail authentication, Sent mail

For Gmail users, authenticated mail which is sent via SalesPartner now can be retrieved from your Sent mail folder in Gmail. Applies to all SalesPartner email formats. Includes attachments and embedded images.

  • HTML Email subject headers are memorized for individual email events, including failed send attempts.
  • Realestate.co.nz listing downloader memorizes your specified office ID upon successful Find events.
  • Realestate.co.nz listing downloader refreshes search results when you switch source sites from Realestate.co.nz to Prime Commercial, Prime Business & NZFarms.
  • Trade Me Property downloader memorizes your specified Member ID upon successful Find events.
  • New option to Show these listings on completion of download from Trade Me and Realestate.co.nz.
  • For Importing listings from Prime Commercial, Prime Business, & NZ Farms, the hyperlink field and the listing suburb is populated correctly.
  • Listings imported from Realestate.co.nz are assigned to the user instead of the office, enabling the user to update vendor details.
  • In Gallery, the mouse wheel is disabled when the drop down sort options are focused.
  • Clicking on the main photo thumbnail in Listing Entry now navigates to the Photos tab, instead of launching touchscreen image viewer.
  • The Attach tool in HTML email displays the number of current attachments.

  • The System File field: "Website" is now available as a merge field for email. The field will automatically be merged as a hyperlink.
  • A new Banner field has been allocated to Salespeople, which is being used to test agent branding fields in Trade Me API. Agent Banners present opportunities to customize Report templates and Email / Letter templates.

The Trade Me listings download feature uses enhanced security. When you download over 50 listings per hour by member ID or suburb, you will need to select Use My Trade Me Account and enter your username and password.

Telecom is changing its Xtra email service.

To ensure that you can continue using SalesPartner to send email, you can now use SSL encryption settings.

In this example, we'll show you how to setup SSL settings for Gmail in SalesPartner. This setup method is optimal for when you want to send emails from various locations without changing your SMTP settings.

  1. Open Settings
  2. Open INI Settings
  3. Click into the Email tab
  4. Specify your SMTP Server as: smtp.gmail.com
  5. Enter your Gmail address into the User Name field
  6. Enter your Gmail password into the Password field
  7. Tick Use Encryption (SSL)

Notes:
  • From version 10.0.1.37, emails which are sent using SalesPartner settings are automatically encrypted using SSL.
  • The new SMTP server address for Telecom users is: send.xtra.co.nz

Reread Data Files

When you update to version 10.0.1.37 or higher, you may need to Reread your Data Files.

Should you see this error when you try to open SalesPartner
after updating, follow the steps below.


  1. Reboot your computer (turn it off and on again)
  2. Open SalesPartner Utilities
  3. Click on Advanced
  4. Click on Reread Data Files
  5. Wait for it to complete until the screen says "OK" - it may take up to 15 minutes. It may not look as though anything is happening, but you must wait for the Reread to complete and display: OK.

Notes:
  • SalesPartner Cloud subscriptions which are hosted by SalesPartner will be updated as scheduled by a technician and a data file re-read will not be required by the user.
  • For office systems and locally networked environments, your data files will only need to be re-read once (on the server). SalesPartner should be closed on all networked PCs before you attempt to re-read your Data Files.
  • Please create a Backup prior to updating SalesPartner, by clicking on Backup Now in the main menu.

New features format for Gallery reports
Gallery reports now support the premium features layout that is used in Listing Entry reports. The premium format affords better readability and layout customization.

Show on Map for Sales History
 
Show on Map is now available in the Sales tab, allowing you to view sales using Google Maps integration.
In Gallery, Sales tab:
  • Filter by your desired suburb
  • Select all sales
  • Click on Tools
  • Click Show on Map

Clusters of sales may identify areas of high turnover.
  • Show on Map now automatically fetches Geo-code information if not present, and a progress bar is displayed.
  • Keyboard Delete support added for individual activity items (when in Contact Entry or Listing Entry).
  • Report screen navigation supports using keyboard arrow keys to scroll up and down, or turn the page (left and right).
