Part 2. Next Steps

Previously in Part 1 we imported a private sale listing from Trade Me. In this guide we'll look at a number of lead generation strategies.
By default Trade Me listings are imported with a generic vendor named 'The Owner'. If you wish to update the vendor details you can edit them in Listing Entry under the Vendor tab.
You may wish to fill out additional details including value estimates and council data via:

Templates

There are several direct mail templates that are scripted to create a dialogue with potential sellers.
In Listing Entry open the Envelope icon.

1. CFP to foreign listing

The Foreign Listing template is designed to introduce the salesperson as a pro-active source for new listings who can help the vendor with their next move. The seller is invited to register as a VIP buyer who will receive advance notice of new listings. This template communicates that you are actively in regular contact with local buyers and sellers, and you have systems for keeping in touch.

2. CFP to FSBO

The FSBO template is somewhat more direct in suggesting that in addition to providing early notice of new listings, you could assist with the challenges that can arise when working with buyers.

Other suitable templates:

  • CFP to vendor - would you sell
  • CFP to vendor listed with others
  • CFP we need more listings
All standard templates are designed so that you can add your personal flair to the message. When you edit a letter, click Save to keep a copy for future use.
